Stephen Ministry

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church equips and empowers lay caregivers—called Stephen Ministers—to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are experiencing a difficult time in life, such as grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, relocation, or separation due to military deployment.

If you are in need of a Stephen Minister or know of someone, please call the church office at (215) 357-4791

Current Programs

You may have recently experienced stress, anxiety, fear, sadness and loneliness. The Pandemic and the resulting economic recession have negatively affected many people’s mental health and created new barriers for people already suffering from mental illness and substance use disorders. During the pandemic, about 4 in 10 adults have reported experiencing more stress. So, if you find this topic relevant, please join us on Monday, March 28th, at 6:30 PM, for Stephen Ministry's ongoing discussion on "Depression, Anxiety, and Other Things".
